Wreck is the second chapter of Act 1 in Man of Medan and the third overall.
The player controls Alex (Theatrical Cut) and Conrad (Curator's Cut) as the group prepares equipments for the former and Julia to dive.
Duke of Milan - Offshore North French Polynesia, 5:30 P.M.[]
The Duke of Milan swims in the middle of the ocean. Julia pulls the dive camera out of the water as Conrad looks on.
- If Brad drank the beer in the previous chapter, he will be vomiting due to seasickness as Fliss consoles and advises him to go rest in the cabin.
- If Brad didn't drink the beer, then he will be next to Julia and Conrad.
Conrad with Alex and Julia looking through the photos
While Conrad and Julia flip through the pictures taken by the dive camera, Alex discusses the location of the wrecks with Fliss. She says she hasn't heard of the wreck they are talking about and suggests places where they can take a nice dive. Alex may be upset or believe Brad's accuracy. Regardless, Fliss replies that Alex is a client and warns her that they have a limited time. Alex leaves to join the others to look at the pictures.
- If Brad isn't with the group, the guys praise him for his calculations.
- If Brad is with the group, he will enthusiastically tell them that this wreck is a B-29 bomber plane that was popular during World War II, after which he will do a victory dance.
Julia calls Fliss and says that they have found the wreck and are ready to dive. Fliss says they need to call the wreck in to port authorities first as it's unreported. Julia decides to disregard this, while Alex and Conrad can either agree with Julia or disregard as well. Fliss reluctantly agrees, but warns the couple not to touch anything before dropping anchor into the water. Fliss says that the couple should prepare for the dive, after which the group goes on doing their duties. While Julia sets up the tanks, Alex and Conrad can explore the boat and:
- Check dive photos on a tablet.
- View the ocean in the binoculars.
- Find a picture inside the Duke of Milan.
- Chat with Brad, who will either endure seasickness in the room and talk about beer or will sit at the table and read about the find.
- Find Fliss' fake license.
- Talk to Fliss: both guys can apologize or Alex can be demanding and even try to bribe Fliss and Conrad can try to flirt with her.
- If fake license was found earlier, they can mention them.
- Chat with Julia, while she is preparing the tanks: Alex can thank Julia for paying for the trip or offer to help, while Conrad can ask for advice on how to hit on Fliss or tell her to relax. In either case, Julia will start complaining about Fliss, to which the guys can either support or scold her.
- If fake license was found earlier, they can mention them.
- Check Julia's closet below deck, where they can find perfume and the book Shroud of Innocence.
When Julia finishes the preparations, she calls the others and briefly explains how the rebreather works. The couple puts on the rebreather tanks and collect the rest of the gear while Conrad goes chatting with Fliss.
- Alex can pick up a camera or a bangstick, after which he can pick up the other item or talk to Julia.
- In Curator's Cut, he always picks up the camera and talks to Julia.
- Conrad can flirt with Fliss or offer help and talk about the guys.
Alex and Julia dive into the water and swim towards the wreck. Along the way, the couple discusses Fliss' stubbornness and decides to take a small "souvenir". Having swum to the wreck, the couple is surprised with its size and begins to look for an entrance inside.
