Vince is the fourth chapter of Act 1 in Little Hope and the sixth overall.
The player controls John (Theatrical Cut) and Taylor (Curator's Cut) as the group explores the bar while talking to a stranger.
Black Cat Bar, 11:38 P.M.[]
The group enters the bar and sees a man drinking alone. Andrew asks him about the bus driver and the fog before John gets into the conversation. He explains that their bus crashed and they are still a little shaken up. Angela leaves to find a mirror and later sits down at the table while Daniel and Taylor leave to find the phone.
The stranger introduces himself as Vince and offers a drink. Andrew immediately refuses, while John can also refuse or have a drink.
- If John decides to drink, he will feel uncomfortable and Andrew will say that this is not a good idea. Vince will reply that the drink is all he has left. John will receive a locked trait Reckless.
- If Daniel and Taylor's conversation in the previous chapter ended positively, Daniel will suggest they play darts, where Taylor must complete three QTEs, the first of which will have an infinite timer.
- If Daniel and Taylor's conversation ended negatively, Daniel will tell Taylor to take him seriously, and she can apologize or be frustrated. Then they will play darts, though Daniel will react cynically to Taylor's performance.
When they have finished playing, Daniel will ask Taylor for his opinion on the situation. She can say that it could be worse or that the guys are no help (by choosing this, Taylor will receive a locked trait Irritable), and then complain about Angela or John.
- If Taylor has a high relationship with John, she will be able to say that they think she is an idiot, to which Daniel will reply that he doesn't think so.
- If Taylor has a low relationship with John, she will be able to tell who put him in charge.
- If Taylor decided to say that Angela pisses her off and Daniel has a high relationship with her, he will say that he doesn't think Angela means any harm.
- If Taylor decided to say that Angela pisses her off and Daniel has a low relationship with her, he will agree with Taylor.
John will walk up to the couple and see the dartboard, decide to play, after which he and Taylor can explore the bar. They can:
- Find a newspaper about the town's closure.
- Find a flyer.
- Find a war photo. Whoever finds it will be surprised as the photo shows the faces of Andrew, Daniel, and John amongst the soldiers.
- Find a phone, but it won't work.
- Talk to Vince again, but he will be reluctant to answer. Andrew will continue adding dialogue whenever the protagonist speaks.
- Talk to Angela, as Taylor.
When the player attempts to leave the group decides to exit the bar, and they hear church bells ringing in the distance. Vince wishes them the best of luck in finding what they're looking for and, after the protagonists leave, makes his way over to the dartboard and removes the darts.
Collectibles[]
Secrets[]
- Newspaper: Town Closes - Can be found on a table across from the flyer.
- Occult Flyer - Can be found on a table to the left of the counter.
- War Photo - Can be found on the floor to the left of the exit.
Trivia[]
- At the end of the chapter, Vince will take three darts off the bullseye of the dartboard. This is a hint that none of the protagonists are real, as John and Taylor threw darts at other parts of the board (or failed to throw most darts).
- Vince only ever responds to Andrew when protagonists talk to him. This is a hint that Andrew's speech is the only thing being said aloud by his true self.
