Tony Michael Pankhurst was an English actor and model. Together with Pip Torrens he helped to create and bring to life a mysterious and charismatic horror host, The Curator, and made a huge contribution to The Dark Pictures Anthology.
Tony Pankhurst debuted in the world of video games and became a face model for the Curator. According to him, filming took place in Serbia in 2017.[1] The Curator's first appearance happened in the Halloween Trailer of Man of Medan on October 31, 2018.[2] The character was revealed to the players in the released game on August 30, 2019. Later he was showing up in the next installments of the [Season One]] as a recurring horror host. In 2023, the Curator appeared in Switchback VR as a supporting character.
In 2021, Tony Pankhurst appeared on the screen himself and portrayed the Curator in the live-action launch trailer of House of Ashes, while Pip Torrens voiced the character.[3]

Tony Pankhurst died on May 9, 2024 at the age of 67. A memorial website was created on May 23, 2024 by his family.[4] According to the website, Tony Pankhurst spent last weeks of his life in "Hospice in the Weald", which is located in Pembury, England, and a funeral service took place on June, 7 in Hastings. Supermassive confirmed the information about his passing on July 29, stating that the developer team loved working with him.[5] The company also made a donation of 200 pounds for "Hospice in the Weald" charity.
