The Curator begins to collect stories involving normal people coming into contact with life-threatening dangers.
Millions of Years Ago
During space travel, cosmic nomads from the constellation of Cetus pick up extraterrestrial parasites. The parasites infect the entire crew and turn them into vampires, causing the alien ship to crash on Earth, in the territory of the future Zagros Mountains. After the crash, the surviving vampires go into hibernation for millennia.
2231 BC
The war between the Akkadians and the Gutians awakens the vampires underground from hibernation. Thanks to the eclipse, the vampires emerge to the surface and slaughter people, as well as infect one, before going back underground.
1688
Carver becomes the third reverend in Little Hope's church.
1690
During the celebration of Commencement Day, Little Hope is attacked by the French and Indian armies. During the attack, 8 residents are killed and 14 are taken into slavery. Among them are the wife of Reverend Carver and the mother of Mary Milton.
1692
Due to paranoia, witch trials start in Little Hope. Several people are falsely accused of witchcraft, four of which are related to a young girl named Mary. The accused are executed. Carver is later caught for having an interest in the occult, resulting in him losing his role as reverend.

Herman Webster Mudgett is born.
1893
Honeymooners Jeff and Marie check in to a hotel owned by Henry Howard Holmes, only to become victims to a vicious serial killer. Holmes continues his killing spree afterwards.
1894
H.H. Holmes is exposed as a serial killer and arrested.
1896
H. H. Holmes is tried and executed for his murders.
1900s
Columbus Spa is active during this time.
1907
187 people die when the SS Cassiopeia crashes into the rocks on the shores of Lake Michigan.

Lucinda Munday is born.
1929
James T. Clarke is born.
1930/1931
Leonard Carson is born.
1931
Anne Clarke is born.
1934
Columbus Spa is shut down when a water leak causes the ceiling in the boiler room to collapse.
1944
In World War II, John Patterson is the only survivor of his platoon.
1946
An expedition led by Randolph and his team journey to the underground looking for Alexander the Great's tomb. They discover the lost Akkadian empire and find an ancient civilization of aliens that overrun and kill them.
1947
An American warship, SS Ourang Medan, is carrying a dangerous chemical called "Manchurian Gold". During the storm, lightning strikes the ship and causes a chemical reaction. The ensuing release of gas causes the crew to hallucinate and kill each other. The ship, anchored, stays in the ocean.

James and Anne marry.

Tanya A. Clarke is born.
1951
Dennis F. Clarke is born.
1953/1954
Anthony Clarke is born.
1956
Manny Sherman is born.
1960
Megan R. Clarke is born.
1963
Salim Othman is born.
1965
Clarence abandons Lucinda Munday who is pregnant with his child.

Leonard Carson becomes the 17th reverend in Little Hope's St. David's Church.
1970s
Manny Sherman begins his killing spree, amounting to at least thirteen people and earning the moniker "The Beast of Arkansas."
1971
Anne reaches out to Reverend Carson to help discipline Megan.
1972
In Little Hope, The Clarke family, minus youngest son Anthony, is killed in a house fire. Anthony is falsely arrested for starting the fire and cleared of suspicion shortly after, followed with his departure from Little Hope. Tanya's boyfriend Vince holds a grudge against him for this.
Hector is abused by his mother Lucinda, leading him to lash out aggressively at school. The principal tries to get in contact with her after noticing bruise marks on Hector.
Jason Kolchek is born.
Nicolas Kay is born.
1973
Ravenden Textiles Factory closes, leaving hundreds of Little Hope residents without a job and beginning the exodus.
Reverend Carson is arrested after allegedly performing a "satanic mass" on an unknown girl. He is later stripped of his position in the church.
Charles Lonnit is born.
1975
The closure of the factory leads to a mass exodus of Little Hope.
1979
The last residents of Little Hope leave the town, making it abandoned.
1985
Zain Othman is born.
1988
Hector completes a degree in psychology and applies for the FBI.
1992
Katherine Wilder is born.
Mark Nestor is born.
Hector moves his mother into a retirement home.
1993
Hector works on a case involving a serial killer "The Imaginary Killer" who turns corpses into animatronics.
1995
Sherman kills Mary Stewart, and the style of killing prompts Hector to make The Beast of Arkansas his prime suspect.
1996
Jamie Tiergan is born.
1997
Hector catches Sherman, who secretly mentors him into becoming a serial killer.
Hector commits his first two murders, which are credited to the "Shoeshine Killer".
1998
Hector kills Lucinda, covering it up as natural death. After the funeral, Hector digs up and preserves his mother's corpse.
Hector kills a fourth person, then an investigating police officer, and fakes his death in a fire to avoid getting caught.
Erin Keenan is born.
1999
Sherman is tried and sentenced to death for his murders.
2000
Newlyweds Rachel and Eric get into a car crash in which Eric loses part of his leg. The incident took place near the town of Little Hope.
2001
Police evidence from Hector's apartment is stolen from the Chicago PD evidence management facility, including his List of Aliases.
The September 11 attacks prompt Jason to join the Marine Corps.
2002
Charlie moves to the United States.
Joseph Morello publishes his first book, The Mind of a Killer.
Rachel and Eric, whose relationship has worsened, decide to work apart for a year.
2003
Sherman is executed. His body is stolen by Hector.
Nick and Jason get involved in an incident at a checkpoint resulting in the death of a civilian. Nick is traumatized by the incident.
Rachel and Nick begin having an affair.
Two French aid workers, Marie Vinay and Yves Paugam, go missing. After two weeks of searching, they are presumed dead.
An American Unit, including Rachel, Eric, Nick, Jason, Merwin, Joey and Clarice are on search for chemical weapons. They are ambushed by an Iraqi patrol which includes Salim, and both sides plunge underground. They find the remains of the Hodgson Expedition and vampiric beings that hunt them.
2011
Wealthy couple Mark and Jennifer Edwards amend their will to leave their private island estate Hector.
2012
In college, Kate was supposed to meet up with her friend Shelby one night but she overslept. Shelby was killed by a stalker while waiting for her. This experience causes Kate to develop PTSD.
2017
A skeleton crew of workers are hired to renovate Columbus Spa. They all disappear following various "accidents" shortly after finishing construction.
2019
Anthony, now a bus driver, crashes his bus after seeing a little girl on the road. He hallucinates his dead family members, including himself, as reincarnated beings along with imagining demonic entities hunting him throughout Little Hope.
Vacationers Conrad, Alex, Julia, Brad, and their skipper Fliss go on a trip to dive a sunken wreck. They are kidnapped by pirates and taken to the SS Ourang Medan under the assumption that there is treasure onboard.
2022
A documentary crew gets invited to a remote island that holds a replica of H.H. Holmes' infamous Murder Castle. They accept the invite but are met with an actual serial killer.
