“ | Suspicion and betrayal walk side by side in Little Hope. | ” |
Tabitha Milton is a supporting character and subsequently an antagonist in The Dark Pictures Anthology's second installment, Little Hope. She was one of the Puritans involved in the witch trials of Little Hope in 1692, and one of its victims. She was voiced and motion captured by Rebecca Brierley and was modelled on Eleni Miariti. Her motion capture performance was assisted by Cheryl Burniston.
Appearance[]
Tabitha is a young woman with a white complexion. She has brown eyes and medium long brown hair, combed with two bangs on the sides and tied into French braids.
Tabitha wears traditional clothing for Puritan women. It includes a white headscarf, a green dress with sleeves down to the elbows and white cuffs on the arms and neck, a white apron and a pair of brown leather shoes with black laces. During the execution, Tabitha wears a simple white dress down to her feet and is slightly stained.
Personality[]
Tabitha is shown as a quiet, modest, and calm woman, as befits a traditional Puritan. She also stands out for her love for her younger siblings, whom Tabitha is willing to protect from evil forces at all costs. However, this desire was Tabitha's big mistake, as it led to her being accused of witchcraft and her subsequent execution.
Biography[]
Tabitha was born in the late 1670s and was the first daughter of Martha Milton and the older sister of David and Mary. In 1690, during the celebration of the Commencement Day, Little Hope was attacked by the French and Indian armies. In the massacre, several people were taken as slaves, among them was Martha, which led to the children living on their own.
In 1692, Tabitha became involved in the witch trials after she took Mary's poppet, resulting in the latter refusing to help her sister when Tabitha was accused of witchcraft. Subsequently, Tabitha was sentenced to death and executed by being hanged on a tree/burned at a stake.
Three centuries later, in 2019, Tabitha returned as the Hanged/Burned Demon and began to haunt a group of college people, specifically her double Taylor, in an attempt to kill her.

Main Story[]
Act 1[]
Tabitha attends Amy's trial along with her siblings. She is in the background watching the trial in silence, but becomes concerned when Mary gets "possessed".
Act 2[]
After Amy's execution, Tabitha finds Mary with a poppet in her hands. Wanting to protect her sister from suspicion of witchcraft, Tabitha takes the poppet and leaves, while Mary follows her and asks for the doll back. At the same time, Taylor, Daniel and Joseph, who are hiding, watch the scene.
Later, Isaac comes to the Miltons' house and prepares to arrest Tabitha, thinking she made the poppet and gave it to Mary. Tabitha denies this statement and asks Mary to say that she made the poppet herself, to which Mary replies that the poppet never belonged to her. Tabitha then turns to Taylor for help, but Isaac still arrests her anyway.
Tabitha appears one last time at the execution site, where she is seen tied to a stake/with a noose around her neck. She begins to ask Daniel and Taylor for help, but Carver silences her. Tabitha then turns to the Reverend, saying that the poppet is just a child's toy and that she is not guilty of witchcraft. Carver ignores her words, saying that Tabitha can't fool him and that for the safety of Little Hope, she must die. Isaac then suspends Tabitha/fires the stake, causing her to suffocate/burn to death.
Later, Tabitha is mentioned by David, Mary and Carver during their conversation in the church. It appears from their words that Tabitha caused David to be accused of witchcraft, as Carver saw him alone talking to someone (in reality, he was talking to Daniel and Taylor).
Act 3[]
Tabitha is mentioned by Abraham during his conversation with Joseph and by Wyman during Mary's trial, where both men say that Mary let her own sister die and even smiled at her execution.

Relationships[]
Mary[]
Mary is Tabitha's younger sister. Tabitha cared for her sister and took the poppet from Mary to protect her from suspicion and false accusations. However, this led to Tabitha herself being accused as a witch after Mary refused to tell the truth about the poppet. Moreover, as Abraham says, Mary smiled during Tabitha's execution, suggesting that she did not love her sister.
David[]
David is Tabitha's younger brother. The two didn't interact with each other, though they attended Amy's trial together. Despite this, the siblings were very close, as after Tabitha's execution, David mourned her death and was happy to see Taylor, mistaking her for his sister.
Trivia[]
Facts[]
- Tabitha, along with Taylor from 2019, are the recreations of Tanya Clarke made by Anthony's mind.
- Unlike her reincarnations, Tabitha has brown hair instead of red. This is either due to Taylor and Tanya dyeing their hair or due to the superstition that women with red hair are witches, which would lead to Tabitha being executed before the events of the game.
Deaths[]
- Tabitha and Mary are the only victims of the witch trials who can have the same method of execution.
- Tabitha's execution was inspired by Tanya's death from the hanging/neck breaking and burning.
- Tabitha is the second person to be executed in witch trials.
Other[]
- Tabitha as a human shares the same face model as:
- Daniella Cárdenas from Hidden Agenda.
- Anna Bennet from The Inpatient.
- Toma from Bravo Team.
- Jenny May from Man of Medan.
- Taylor and Tanya A. Clarke from the same game.
- Clarice Stokes from House of Ashes.
- Michelle Morello from The Devil in Me.
- Belial from Switchback VR.
- Laura Eisele from Directive 8020.
- Tabitha is the only 1692 double that has more than one form of demon (Hanged and Burned).
