We each have our own demons. They are ours and ours alone...
This article is about The Dark Pictures Anthology's second installment, Little Hope .

Rope is the gold picture in Little Hope. It can be found by any protagonist in the Clarke Family Home. This picture appears in Full Circle.

Overview[]

A postcard. The front page depicts a witch with black cats on a broomstick flying over a town against a background of a crescent moon.

Premonition[]

A woman rappelling into a chasm screams frantically as the rope holding her snaps.

Outcome[]

The premonition can be fulfilled in the third installment in the anthology, House of Ashes, in the chapter Breaking Up. When Eric and Rachel try to escape Dar, an earthquake happens, causing Rachel to tumble down the slope and fall into the chasm with a rope attached to Eric. Rachel falls down anyway, though the circumstances of the fall depend on the player's decisions:

  • If Eric cuts the rope, Rachel will fall into the chasm screaming.
  • If Rachel cuts the rope, she will fall into the chasm as Eric screams out for her in horror.
  • If Dar was alerted and Eric fails QTEs to dodge the bullets/refuses to cut the rope, he will be shot, causing Eric to fall into the chasm with Rachel and impale himself on a stalagmite.
  • If Eric refuses to cut the rope and Jason and Nick don't arrive on time, the former will be dragged down into the chasm with Rachel. The same situation then plays out as if Eric was shot by Dar.
  • If Eric refuses to cut the rope, but Jason and Nick arrive on time, Nick will rescue Eric. The rope snaps, however, causing Rachel to fall into the chasm as she screams.

Location[]

The picture can be found on a table near the fireplace.

Trivia[]

  • Rope is the only picture in Little Hope that can be found by all protagonists.
  • This special premonition is a teased glimpse of the The Dark Pictures Anthology's third installment, House of Ashes.
