The Rebreather is a non-collectible item in Man of Medan. It can be found by Alex, Brad, Fliss, or Julia in the lower deck. This item appears in Depths and majorly affects the fate of Junior.

Diving equipment with the function of reusing carbon dioxide exhaled from the human respiratory system, used for the underwater exploration of the wreck.

As soon as the protagonists exit the engines, they will find this rebreather.
Effect on Story[]
The protagonists may choose to take the rebreather with them or not. If they do so, they will bring it with them up until when they encounter an insane Olson. They may lose it in the process if they fail Keep Calm segments while hiding from Olson or QTEs while running away from him.
If the rebreather is still kept until the encounter with a hallucinating Junior, the protagonists can help him to regain conscious by putting it on him. Afterwards, whoever dives into the flooded part of Cargo Hold 2 will equip this rebreather, allowing them to dive all the way through without raising up to gain air.
Trivia[]
- Conrad is the only protagonist who cannot use the rebreather during the course of the game, while Alex and Julia are guaranteed to use it.
