This article is about The Dark Pictures Anthology's fourth installment, The Devil in Me .

Plan is the twelfth chapter of Act 2 in The Devil in Me and the twenty-fifth overall.

It is a cutscene and has no gameplay. The chapter focuses on the crew's escape plan.

2nd Floor Corridors[]

Kate, Jamie, Mark, and possibly Erin regroup in the corridors.

  • If the previous chapter was Surgery, Jamie questions what Du'Met did to Erin, and is annoyed when Kate tries to comfort her. Mark tells them to focus on escaping rather than fighting.
  • If the previous chapter was Breathless and...
    • Jamie tried to kill Kate, Erin asks what is happening and Kate says Du'Met is playing a game. Jamie asks Erin if she is okay, and Erin says she is not even close (if they have a positive or neutral relationship) or tells Jamie to leave her alone (if they have a negative relationship). Kate says they have to get smart before one of them ends up dead like Charlie, and Erin asks about Charlie's death in surprise. If Erin found the edited tape in Silver Ash, she says he got what was coming to him and explains that she found a recording of Charlie telling Du'Met to kill the crew.
    • Jamie killed Erin, she says Erin is gone. Kate thanks her, and Jamie asks Kate what she was supposed to do. Mark says it's not on them and Du'Met set them up.
    • Jamie did nothing, she says Erin is gone and she didn't know what to do. Kate says it's okay and she doesn't have to say anything. Mark says it's not on them and Du'Met set them up.

Kate says they need a plan, and there's always a weakness in the killers they cover.

  • If Erin died in Breathless and found the edited tape in Silver Ash, Jamie points out that she wrote "IT'S CHARLIE" in her blood before dying, saying it must mean something. Mark asks how Charlie could be involved, and says the accusation is crazy when Kate and Jamie acknowledge the possibility.

Jamie says they can make guesses all day but if they die it won't matter, and Mark suggests they "play detective" to survive and outthink Du'Met. Jamie says they should stick together, and Mark realizes Du'Met could be listening to them as they speak. Kate asks where they should go, and Mark suggests the ferry, but Jamie rebuffs him since the ferry left. Kate suggests going to the lighthouse and signaling the police boats patrolling the lake for help.

  • If Erin is alive, she says the lighthouse is probably rigged with traps, and Kate says that means they should be careful.

Jamie asks if Mark is shooting any of this, telling him to record the bodies for the cops. Du'Met is shown pressing a button in another room, and the group hears more whirring from down the hall. Kate points out the walls are moving again before running down the corridors (with Erin following her, if present). Mark and Jamie tell her to stop and Kate is stopped by a wall closing in front of her. As Mark chases after them, Du'Met is shown pulling a lever, and Mark falls through a trapdoor. Du'Met is then shown pressing another button, separating Jamie from Kate and Erin. Jamie finds herself alone once more.

Trivia[]

  • This and Ferry are the only chapters in the game that are cutscenes but do not take place at the start or end of the game.
    • Reflection can determinantly be a cutscene as well.
