We each have our own demons. They are ours and ours alone...
This article is about The Dark Pictures Anthology's second installment, Little Hope .

Oh Death is the song featured in The Dark Pictures Anthology's second installment, Little Hope. It is a rendition of the traditional American folk song called by the same name. The song is performed by American folk artist Tim Eriksen in the folk genre and was released as part of the album For the Love of the Music by Kingswood Records in January 2014.

This country song follows a dialogue between Death and a dying man. The man begs to be spared and is ready to offer anything in return, but Death refuses him, saying that his time has come and it is inevitable. All lyrics are taken from the original, but partially and with some minor changes.

Lyrics[]

Oh what is this that I can't see
With icy hands takes hold on me
I am death, none can excel
I hold the key to heaven or hell

Oh, death, oh, death, won't you spare me over for another year?

Oh I have come to get your soul
Leave your body and leave it cold
To drop the flesh right off of your frame
The earth and worms both have their claim

Oh, death, oh, death, won't you spare me over for another year?

Oh, death, oh, death, consider my age
Please, don't take me at this stage
My wealth is all at your command
If you will move your icy hand

Oh, death, oh, death, won't you spare me over for another year?

No wage, no ruin, no silver, no gold
Nothing satisfies me but your soul
The old, the young, the rich and poor
Are all alike with me will have to go

Oh, death, oh, death, won't you spare me over for another year?

Oh, death, oh, death, won't you spare me over for another year?

Oh, death, oh, death, won't you spare me over for another year?
