Noises is the tenth chapter of Act 1 in The Devil in Me and the eleventh overall.
The player controls Erin as she returns to her room and hears strange noises from outside.
Erin's Bedroom, 9:04 P.M.[]
Erin enters her room.
- If Dinner ended negatively, she is in the midst of an asthma attack and has the option to use her inhaler. If she does not, she relaxes on her bed until it ends.
- If Dinner ended positively or neutrally, she begins looking through her bag.
She then hears crying from the hallway and grabs her microphone, putting on her headphones. While exploring the corridors she can find the Anxiety Book, a picture, and a painting of Holmes' execution playing audio of his confession. After approaching the painting and then walking away, the walls in the corridors move so that Erin cannot go back to her room and can instead go further into the hotel. She hears more sounds coming from the locked rooms, including recordings of Kate and Mark talking and a man arguing with his wife. After going down some new hallways, the lights go out, and sounds of previous guests being killed mixed with classical music begin to play. More walls close behind Erin until she reaches a short hallway leading into a lit room wherein a looped sound of crying can be heard.
Erin sings her "Don't Be Scared Song" quietly to herself as she approaches the room and finds an audio player on the wall. She can inspect it and either turn it off or back away. Regardless of what she does, it turns off and a mannequin of H.H. Holmes comes down from the ceiling with a noose around its neck. Erin screams and the door closes behind her. She tries and fails to open it, then yells for help.
