Lost is the first chapter of Act 2 in Little Hope and the twelfth overall.
The player controls Angela/Andrew and Daniel (Theatrical Cut) and John and Taylor (Curator's Cut) as the group splits up again after previously being attacked by a monstrous threat.
Little Hope Graveyard, 12:58 A.M.[]
Andrew, John, and possibly Angela run through the forest and reach the graveyard.
- If Angela is alive, she is shocked and asks about the creature, saying she almost died. Andrew says that she is as scared as they are, but at least they were able to escape.
- If Andrew helped Angela, she can thank him or ask why she should be grateful.
- If Angela got out on her own, she can say that she saved herself or blame Andrew for leaving her.
- If Angela asks why she should be grateful or blames Andrew, she feels pain in her legs as if they are on fire and assume that it is from the climbing. Angela receives the locked trait Irritable.
- If John didn’t tell Angela what happened to her doppelganger, she demands answers from him.
- If John did tell Angela what happened, he can assume that the demon is Amy, since the chains look familiar, or tell Angela that they will protect her.
- If Angela is dead, Andrew blames himself for her death, saying that he didn't know what to do and was trying to save her. John calms him down and tell him that they need to have each other's back more than ever.
John asks if anyone knows what happened to Daniel and Taylor, and Andrew replies that they are not far from them. The group will hear the demon and decide to leave the graveyard. When looking for a way out, the group can find:
- The graves of some notable characters such as; Abraham, Isaac, Wyman, James, Anne, Dennis, Megan, and Tanya.
- When Tanya's grave is found, the protagonists will be surprised that someone is still taking care of her's.
- When Megan's grave is found, the protagonists will comment that it is a tragedy to lose someone at such a young age.
- A sun charm on the bench.
Finding a way out, the group leaves the graveyard while someone follows them. Out on the road, they see a bridge in the distance and comment that they should stay away from it. The group sees a silhouette in the fog and hides in the bushes, after which a Keep Calm segment will occur. Regardless of completion, it turns out that it's Vince fixing his bike.
- If the group fails the Keep Calm segment, they step on a branch, attracting Vince's attention. He will call them "old fool" and leave.
- If the group completes the Keep Calm segment, Vince leaves without noticing them.
Coming out of the bushes, John/Andrew says that they need to talk about what Amy said before she was drowned about stopping the little girl. They will see the abandoned house and and Andrew decides to investigate it, while the rest wait for him.
- If Angela is alive, the Drowned Demon's chains tie around the sewer grate behind them.
- If Angela is dead, someone with a spear follows Andrew and John.
Woods, 1:03 A.M[]
Meanwhile, Daniel and Taylor are in the woods near the bridge. Daniel asks Taylor how she is doing:
- If Angela survived, the couple discusses the demon.
- If Angela is dead, the couple discusses her death.
They decide to find another path to the others and make their way to the historical trail. Walking along it, they can find a stone inscription and a map of the town, after which they get to the bridge. Taylor will worry that the demon may still be in the water, but Daniel will calm her down by saying that they have left the demon behind. When Daniel steps on the bridge, it starts to creak and Daniel tells Taylor to go first as she weighs less than him.
- If Taylor refuses, saying that they should look after themselves, Daniel will go first. Taylor will receive a locked trait Dismissive.
After crossing the bridge, the group hears a noise in the bushes and finds the grave of the first victim of the witch trials. Taylor offers to leave, while Joseph unexpectedly approaches them and grabs Daniel. The couple is frightened by him and Joseph asks them to calm down as he spies on Mary, who he believes is the source of all evil in Little Hope. Meanwhile, Tabitha, Mary's older sister, appears and finds her with a doll. She takes the doll to protect Mary and leaves, despite Mary's pleas to keep the doll. The couple returns to the trail and continues walking in confusion.
Alleyway, 1:24 A.M.[]
Andrew leaves the house to the group without finding the phone. He asks John if Daniel and Taylor have come, to which John replies that there are no signs of them. The group notices a girl running down the alley. John offers to follow her, with which Angela/Andrew may agree or suggest that this is a trap. Andrew asks John why don't they wait for Daniel and Taylor, to which he replies that if they went this way they would already be here, after which the group goes to the alley.
John and Andrew walk forward. If Angela is alive, she lags behind them, distracted by a crow. After shooing a crow and passing over a sewer grate covered in black ooze, the hatch is suddenly pushed out and chains emerge from it and grab Angela.
- In Theatrical Cut, Angela has to perform QTEs to wait for John and Andrew, but the demon drags her down the drain anyway.
- If Angela fails the third QTE by falling into the sewers, the demon will grab her by the leg.
- If Angela fails the last QTE, she will be killed and her body dragged into the sewers.
- If Angela completes the last QTE, she will crawl away from the demon and go deeper into the sewers. As she goes farther in, she hears the demon begin chasing her again.
- If Angela turns back, the demon will attack her and she must complete a QTE to dodge a chain.
- If Angela does not turn back and interacts with the door, or successfully dodges the chain, she will approach the door and must complete a QTE to open it.
- If Angela completes the QTE, she will continue to run into the sewers and Andrew and John will hear her scream.
- If Angela fails either QTE, she will be chained by the demon and drowned in black ooze.
- If Angela fails the third QTE by falling into the sewers, the demon will grab her by the leg.
John and Andrew, upon hearing Angela's being dragged into the sewer, run to her. John must complete a QTE to grab Angela.
- In Curator's Cut, if John fails the QTE, Angela will be killed.
- In Curator's Cut, if John completes the QTE, Angela will survive and disappear into the sewer.
If Angela is still alive and the game is in Curator's Cut or Shared Story, John has two dialogues with Andrew where he can choose to follow Angela into the sewer or not. If John decides to go down, he can find Angela's glasses and see the demon crawling after her. This segment is open exploration in Curator's Cut, but plays as a cutscene in Shared Story. John and Andrew assume Angela is dead, whether she was killed or was able to escape.
John and Andrew notice the girl and follow her into a museum nearby.

- Tanya Clarke's Grave - Can be found in the center of the Clarke family graves with a vase of flowers blocking it.
- Visitor's Map - Can be found on the Witch Trail in a clearing.
- Stone Inscription - Can be found on a path to the right of the witch trail. The branch covering the inscription must be viewed and moved aside.
