Junior is the fourth chapter of Act 3 in Man of Medan and the twenty-third overall.
The player controls Alex/Brad/Fliss (Theatrical Cut) and Fliss/Julia/Brad (Curator's Cut) as the duo flees from Olson, only to face another threat.
Lower Deck, 4:19 A.M.[]
The chapter starts where the previous chapter ended: the protagonists (with or without the rebreather) run away from Olson and hide in one of the openings. Olson enters the corridor and as he hits the walls with a sledgehammer trying to lure the protagonists out, he says he won't let them take the gold and leave him to die. As he does this, a Keep Calm segment begins.
- If at least one of the protagonists fails the segment, Olson notices the duo, causing them to run for a door, dropping their rebreather if they have one.
- If both protagonists complete the segment, they start whispering to each other about what to do as Olson is about to find them. They can decide to either hide further or run away.
- If the duo decides to run away, they will run to a door.
- If the protagonists took the rebreather, they will have to perform a QTE to keep them from losing it.
- If the duo decides to continue hiding, a second Keep Calm segment will begin.
- If at least one of the protagonists fails the segment, the result will be the same as if the duo had failed the first Keep Calm segment.
- If both protagonists complete the segment, Olson won't find them and after he's gone far enough, the protagonists will run to a door.
- If the duo decides to run away, they will run to a door.
Having run through the door, the protagonists lock and close it and calm down as Olson tries in vain to kick the door open, only to find that someone has a gun pointed at them. Turning around, the duo sees Junior, who turns out to be hallucinating. He demands that they not change, asking if it (referring to the mist) is in them and that they not breathe the mist. The duo tries to calm Junior down and convince him to put the gun down, but in vain, and Junior begins to believe that one of the protagonists has breathed in the mist.
- If Protagonist 1 says there is no mist, Junior shoots Protagonist 2 after which and himself as the other protagonist screams in terror.
- In Shared Story, if Protagonist 2 calms down Junior, and then Protagonist 1 says there is no mist, Junior shoots Protagonist 1 and himself.
- If any protagonist says there was some mist, Junior will ask if they breathed it in.
- If Protagonist 1 says they breathed in some mist, Junior will shoot himself and Protagonist 2.
- In Shared Story, if Protagonist 2 calms down Junior, and then Protagonist 1 says they breathed in some mist, Junior shoots Protagonist 1 and himself.
- If Protagonist 1 says they held their breath, Junior won't believe them saying that even if they are divers, they couldn't have held their breath for hours.
- If Protagonist 1 says they breathed in some mist, Junior will shoot himself and Protagonist 2.
- If any protagonist says nothing to one of these questions, Junior shoots himself and said protagonist.
Suddenly, Junior becomes more panicked as he thinks the mist is inside him and points the gun at himself.
- If the protagonists decide to distract Junior, they will try to convince him that there is no mist inside him, but Junior won't believe them and will shoot himself.
- If the protagonists decide to grab the gun, they pounce on Junior. He will shoot but miss, after which he will break free and shoot himself.
- If the protagonists have the rebreather, Protagonist 2 will have to perform a QTE to put it on the Junior. In this case, Junior will calm down and join the group.
If Alex was dead, is present in the group, or was left alone at the radio, there will be an extra scene:
- In Theatrical Cut, the survivors spot Olson on the upper floor and, trying to follow him, come across a pool of water.
- In Curator's Cut, the protagonists in the radio room are waiting for the others when they hear shots from the lower deck, causing one of the protagonists to go down to check.
