Interrogation is the fourteenth chapter of Act 2 in The Devil in Me and the twenty-seventh overall.

The player controls Jamie as she discovers a network of passages behind the hotel's mirrors.

2nd Floor Corridors

Jamie looks around the hallway she is now trapped in. She can walk through it, and when a wall suddenly closes behind her, she yells to Du'Met that she is not a lab rat here for his amusement. At the end of the hall, she finds the room Erin was trapped in during Blackout, and the hallway next to it is closed off by another moving wall. Jamie must enter the room and use her multimeter to fix the fuse box that is now inside. This causes the wall to open slightly, but the fuse box then emits sparks as the lights go out.

After passing through the gap, Jamie finds herself back in the hallway with all the crew's rooms. She can open the door to her room to find it trashed, with Erin's lip balm still on the floor. After picking up the lip balm, Jamie will keep it if Erin is alive and the two kissed in Guests, and leave it on the floor otherwise. She can then enter another room nearby, where she sees red light emanating from behind the room's mirror. She can pick up a 5 obol coin in the room before examining the mirror and using her screwdriver to pry it open.

After prying the mirror open, Jamie finds an observation room bathed in red light, with multiple monitors displaying live camera feeds. She can explore the room and examine:

• The monitors, which show Mark walking through the basement.
• A camera on a tripod. If Jamie interacts with it, it plays footage of Kate and Mark interacting, and Jamie realizes there are cameras everywhere.
• The mirror she opened to look back into the room she came from.
• Another mirror looking into one of the Morellos' rooms.
• A picture on the wall.
• A glass window into an interrogation room. Jamie must view this to progress the chapter.

In the interrogation room, Jamie sees the mechanized remains of Manny Sherman smoking a cigarette and moving its jaw. A fly lands on the window and Du'Met's hand suddenly appears to squish it, scaring Jamie. Du'Met is then shown inside the room with Sherman's corpse, revealing that the window is one-way and the room apparently soundproof. Du'Met walks over to Sherman Tape 4 on the table in front of Sherman and plays it, unlocking the secret and triggering its associated video if the game isn't Shared Story. When the tape concludes, a beeping is heard from a door near Jamie, and Du'Met exits the interrogation room. Jamie hides as Du'Met goes through the door, and then says that was close.

Inventory Items

• Lip balm - On the floor in the bedroom adjacent to the room with the mirror leading into the observation room. In order to collect this item, Erin and Jamie must kiss during Guests and Erin must be alive.
