
Finding Friends is the sixth chapter of Act 2 in Man of Medan and the fourteenth overall.
The player controls Brad as he boards the ship alone in search for the others. This chapter can be replaced by Echo and can be played fully only in Curator's Cut.

Brad gets out from under the bed and looks around the cabin, finding it empty. As Brad cheers himself up, he walks out onto the deck and sees the ship. Climbing the stairs, Brad gets to the upper floor of Cargo Hold 3 and follows the route of the heroes.
- If Brad continues to follow the path of the others, he finds a closed door and Julia's bracelet, noting that the group passed through here.
- If Danny didn't knock the Guard Duty Schedule down into Cargo Hold 3, Brad can inspect it.
Going left and up the stairs, Brad finds himself in a small corridor with two open rooms. Entering the first room, Brad will be frightened by a large number of soldiers' corpses and will be able to examine them. Going to the second, he can find a secret. Once there, he sees many corpses in lockers, which abruptly close, all but one. Brad is able to examine this locker, only to be startled by a fallen face mask. On re-exploring it, however, Brad, to his confusion, finds a gas mask and takes it with him. He can also investigate the toilet, where he will see blood in the toilet of one of the booths, which on re-examination will disappear.
- When Brad leaves the bathroom, he will see a shadow approaching (who turns out to be Junior) and hides in one of the booths. A Keep Calm segment will start.
- Failure of the Keep Calm segment will cause Junior to find Brad and the latter to run away, losing the opportunity to explore the rest of the area as well as the gas mask if he found it.
After leaving the locker room, Brad enters the quartermaster's store and finds a vent, but can't get to it. He can also view several posters about chemical warfare and a requisition form. Nearby he will be able to find a crate that he will have to push up to the vent and the door to the store. When opening the door, the wooden box on the other side falls down and the shelf also starts to fall down.
- If Brad fails QTE, the shelf will lock the door, preventing Brad from searching the store.
- If Brad completes the QTE, he will break into the room and will be able to search it, finding the secret there.
Having climbed to the other side, Brad finds himself in a long corridor (from where he can go to the quartermaster's office and find a picture), passing through which he finds himself on the upper floor of Cargo Hold 2. Brad can investigate it and find a pair of corpses, a secret, and a wrench, which he takes. As Brad is about to jump down, he notices that a hanging corpse is looking at him. In a panic, Brad jumps and grabs onto a hanging bag, then jumps to the other side of the platform. The platform collapses and Brad falls down on the lower floor.
Note: The following segment is skipped in Theatrical Cut.
Brad will see an undead soldier.
- If both are unarmed, Brad will run back to the upper floor in a panic.
- If Brad is armed, he can attack the undead soldier by hitting him over the head with a wrench. After Brad escapes, it is revealed that he killed Fliss.
- If the undead soldier is armed, Brad has to complete QTEs to dodge his attacks. Otherwise, Brad will be stabbed in the stomach and die.
- If both are armed, Brad must first dodge the undead soldier's attacks and then can decide to attack back.
Brad will put it on after the fall. As the smoke clears, Brad throws the gas mask away and meets Fliss.
- If Fliss hasn't dispelled the hallucinations and is unarmed, she will run to the upper floor while Brad runs after her.
- If Fliss hasn't dispelled the hallucinations and is armed, Brad has to complete QTEs to dodge her attacks. Otherwise, Brad will be stabbed in the stomach and die.
- If Fliss has dispelled the hallucinations, she will recognize Brad and after a brief dialogue, the duo will go looking for the others.

- This is the first chapter, along with Echo and Ritual, in which Brad and Fliss can die.
- This chapter will only occur if Brad stayed hidden in Intrusion and Storm. Otherwise, the chapter Echo will occur instead.
- If Fliss and Brad didn't recognize each other, there will be the chapter Plunged after this one. Otherwise, it will be preceded by Pressure.
