The boat takes the appearance of a grey patrol boat. It is equipped with a lifebuoy and a machine gun turret.

The coast guard boat would be seen sailing to the SS Ourang Medan if Conrad escaped on the speedboat, which could possibly save the other survivors' lives.

If the remaining protagonists fail to retrieve the distributor cap, but Conrad managed to flee on the pirates' speedboat earlier, Conrad will arrive on the coast guard boat to rescue everyone on the Ourang Medan. The survivors then sail back home while talking about their ordeal. If Julia failed to decompress during the diving trip and later chose to drink a bottle of beer on the Duke of Milan, she will start suffering from decompression sickness, with a protagonist trying to resuscitate her, only for them to fail and her dying.
If Conrad succeeded in escaping on the pirates' speedboat but either the remaining protagonists all died or retrieved the distributor cap and escaped, Conrad will board the Ourang Medan, only to find no one there. He notices a door that was open and goes inside the boat. After this, it was unclear what happened to the coast guard and his boat.
