Cargo Hold 3 is a major location in The Dark Pictures Anthology's first installment, Man of Medan.

Overview[]

Cargo Hold 3 is one of the many cargo holds aboard the Ourang Medan with two floors which functions as a garage.

Description[]

A hold which functions as a garage, storing vehicles like jeeps and trucks as well as some crates and supplies. Platforms are located above the first floor with a catwalk between them. Due to the incident aboard the ship, several corpses can be seen in the cargo hold.

History[]

1947[]

Two soldiers aboard the ship, Joe and Charlie entered the hold where the latter sees a spectral child. Eventually, the duo came across many dead soldiers, after which Joe picked up a machine gun and Charlie pickef up a knife before moving on.

2019[]

After the protagonists and their captors boarded the vessel, they walked on the catwalk overlooking the cargo hold. Later, Fliss reached the cargo hold (possibly with Brad) after escaping from Danny. Both of them were separated as a door closed on the former.

After two protagonists ran away from Olson, they locked the door to block him off, but encountered an insane Junior with a gun. After an intense confrontation, they noticed Olson and followed him, exiting the hold.

Prologue[]

After walking through the hallways, Joe and Charlie arrive at this area, where the former hallucinates a child running across the hold. As they arrive at the end, they look at many dead soldiers. Joe then picks up a machine gun while Charlie picks up a knife before moving on.

Act 2[]

Boarding the ship, the protagonists and the pirates overlook the hold before walking on the platforms. Fliss, after escaping from Danny, stumbles upon this hold (alone, with Brad, or followed by Brad). While Fliss enters a door, one of the corpses tilts its head towards her, before the door closes on the former. (Chapters - Abandoned Ship and Danny)

Act 3[]

After escaping from Olson and locking the door on him, the protagonists encounter an insane Junior with a gun. This confrontation may end up in Junior committing suicide and possibly killing one of the protagonists or be saved by them with the rebreather. Afterwards, they notice Olson before following him. Trivia[]

Conrad is the only playable character who can never enter the lower part of the hold.
