The Bridge Deck is a major location in The Dark Pictures Anthology's first installment, Man of Medan.

Overview[]

The deck of the Ourang Medan where the controls and communications take place. It is located on the back end of the ship. In this deck, a radio to contact outside help can be found.

History[]

1947[]

Cooper, the radio operator of the ship, attempted to sent distress signals to an outside help. While doing so, Patterson breached into the room, whom the radio operator hallucinated him as a monster. The radio operator died of fright in the bridge deck.

2019[]

While Conrad was running away from the Sailor Girl (in reality it's either Fliss or Brad), he would pass through the bridge deck.

Later on, the group arrived at the bridge deck and attempted to use the radio to call for help. In order to give power, however, two protagonists decided to go down to the lower deck to fix the generator. With the help of that, the protagonists in the radio room were able to contact the military.

Man of Medan[]

Prologue[]

In the radio room, Cooper tries to sent distress signals. While doing so, the Human Experiment enters ths room, causing Cooper to die of heart attack.

Act 2[]

While Conrad is chased by the Sailor Girl, he stumbles upon the bridge deck, where he must avoid the obstacles to pass through. Conrad then must jump through some ledges, where he can fall while getting his head bashed. Eventually, Conrad will reach a room where he can hide or keep running from the Sailor Girl. If he fails to hide, he can either be impaled on a metal pipe or slit Fliss's/Brad's throat with a knife. (Chapter - Glamor Girl)

Act 3[]

After the protagonists reunite and walk through the weather deck, they reach the bridge deck, where they find a radio. Before they can contact the military longer, the power runs out. Two protagonists will then volunteer to go down into the lower deck in order to restore power. (Chapter - Distress Signal)

After restoring the power, another protagonist in the radio room contacts the military once again. After the military is confirmed to send backup, the power shut down again, much to the protagonist's dismay. Later on, the protagonists in the radio room volunteer to go down in order to retrieve the distributor cap. (Chapters - Depths, Olson, and Matters of the Heart)
