Dear Mr. McCarthy,
Following our conversation last week we have received news that the RBAD Consortium have [sic] been unable to raise the finance to complete the deal with the Carver family for the purchase of LHT Ltd and the real estate around the factory.
I understand your conversations with the family and company have revolved around retaining jobs for former factory workers on the new land development. However, it's plain that we must expect the worst. The entire Harvard Road deal is in jeopardy and unless there is a change or a new buyer emerges soon, there will be no employment on the site after November.
Sincerely,
Location[]
It can be found to the left of the path among a pile of trash while searching for the other protagonists.
Trivia[]
- There is a misuse of "have" instead of "has" after the name of the consortium.
- The year at the top of the letter is 1977, meaning that most of Little Hope had been deserted and the factory had already been closed when it was written. A newspaper reveals that the town wasn't entirely abandoned until 1979.
